Aita opened its doors in May of 2012 in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods in Brooklyn: Clinton Hill.

As an Italian restaurant we cook elegant, rustic, honest food that brings back traditional, nostalgic flavors, and also new inspired dishes from places we love. We base our menu (a creative collaboration between Chef Roberto and CDC Lionel) on local and seasonal ingredients often coming from farms in Upstate NY and local green markets. Our beverage program (curated by Partner/General Manager Althea) is entirely in support of natural wine making methods and sustainable processes while our bar program highlights artisanal and local spirits, prioritizing brands and labels with BIPOC/minorities at the helm.

The restaurant reflects our passion for food and hospitality. Walking into our dining should remind you of arriving at your friend’s house. Our goal at Aita is to create for you a moment of sharing, of emotion, and of memory but most importantly, to make you feel at home.
